Malaysia Leads The Way With The World's Largest Sukuk Offering

CFW View: The world's largest to date sukuk issuance was recently announced in Malaysia - lending credence to our view that Islamic financing is a viable, but as yet largely untapped, source of finance for infrastructure projects. Furthermore, we see increased potential for other countries with a large Muslim population to follow, the more established sukuk markets like Malaysia, in Islamic infrastructure finance. CFW especially highlights Indonesia as a potential candidate to eventually follow in Malaysia's footsteps.
