Entel-GTD Merger Suspended But Not In Jeopardy

Two months on from the announcement that Chilean fixed-line operators Grupo GTD and Entel would merge, the country's anti-trust agency has outlined its concerns about the deal on numerous grounds, including the prospect that the resulting business would own a surfeit of spectrum in key markets and become overly dominant in certain areas.
