CFW View: The cancellation of four prison public-private partnerships (PPPs) by the South African government will come as a blow for the companies involved in the protracted and costly bidding process. Even more concerning is the manner of the cancellation and apparent lack of transparency from the government, which could serve to undermine confidence in the country's PPP model and erode demand for future projects.
