Even more concerning is the manner of the cancellation and apparent lack of transparency from the government, which could serve to undermine confidence in the country's PPP model and erode demand for future projects. At a time when depleted public coffers continue to inhibit infrastructure spending in South Africa, effective cooperation between the public and private sector is all the more necessary, if solutions to infrastructure project funding
