Vivacom On The Market Again

Bulgarian Telecommunications Company (BTC), which operates under the Vivacom brand, is available for purchase again, according to local press reports. The incumbent is currently controlled by its creditors who have hired Morgan Stanley to serve as a consultant in finding a buyer for the company. The move to put BTC back on the market follows the collapse of the transaction in October 2010 that would have seen Dubai-based Oger Telecom take over the company's management. Oger is reportedly still interested in acquiring the asset. A strategic investment in the operator could improve the company's outlook by invigorating management and operations, BMI believes.
