Altech Targets Symphony In Kenya As Part Of Expansion Strategy

South Africa-based IT and telecoms infrastructure firm Allied Technologies (Altech) may be considering buying Kenyan IT firm Symphony in a deal believed to be about US$50-60mn, according to Reuters which quoted sources familiar with the matter. Although neither party has confirmed the negotiations, which sources claim has been going on for several months, BMI believes the alleged deal will be in line with Altech's horizontal expansion plans.
