3 May Bid For Orange Austria

3, Austria's smallest mobile network operator, is reportedly preparing to mount a takeover offer for its closest rival, Orange. Although the combination of these two companies would not usurp the positions of market leaders of T-Mobile or a1 Mobilkom, their importance to Austria's fast-growing mobile broadband market could disrupt plans to auction so-called digital dividend spectrum in 2012.
