MTN To Buy Vodacom's Stake In Congolese Outfit?

MTN Group, Africa's largest mobile phone company, intends to buy Vodacom Group's mobile operations in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), reports Bloomberg. Although both companies remained silent on the matter at the time of writing, CFW would not be surprised if a deal is confirmed considering Vodacom's lingering ownership challenges in the DRC and MTN's desire to further expand its Africa footprint.
