BUYIN Joint Venture Launches
October 2011 | Corporate Financing AnalysisEuropean telecoms operators Deutsche Telekom (DT) and France Telecom (FT) have announced the start of operations in their procurement joint venture (JV) BUYIN. The companies announced their intention to create the JV in April 2011 for both wireless and wireline equipment. The two companies serve almost 400mn subscribers across their networks and expect to make over EUR1.3bn (US$1.8bn) in savings annually from BUYIN. CFW believes the JV will bring considerable benefits to both companies and allow them to offer competitive pricing to customers.
