Airport Privatisation Unlikely As Financing Dries Up

CFW View: In line with our negative outlook for demand sensitive infrastructure assets, financing woes have weighed down Spain's airport privatisation plans. Despite strong interest, the return on investment, price of asset and difficulty accessing finance in Spain's deteriorating banking sector have all worked against the privatistion plans. With elections fast approaching, a decision to put the sale on hold effectively signals an indefinite pause to the process.
