ASEAN Fund To Be An Important Channel For Infrastructure Financing

The Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) has announced plans to create a fund to finance major infrastructure projects across the South East Asia region. CFW welcomes the formation of such a fund as it could serve as an important channel for much needed financing for infrastructure in the region. In addition, the establishment of the ASEAN fund highlights once again the importance of multilateral financial institutions in driving infrastructure developments in emerging markets.
