GTD Looks To Colombia For Next Expansion

Chilean alternative telecoms operator GTD is considering expanding its services to Colombia through acquiring municipal operator TeleCali. The company has been expanding its presence in its home market, launching mobile services as an MVNO in 2011 and acquiring Telsur in 2010. However, given the history of selling stakes in municipally owned companies in Colombia, CFW believes GTD's next expansion may not be as easy as earlier growth.
