Vodafone In Wind Acquisition Talks

Vodafone, Greece's second largest mobile operator, confirmed it has entered into discussions with Wind Hellas' creditors, which took over the company in late 2010 due to its debt crisis. Wind Hellas is the third largest mobile operator in Greece and also has fixed-line and broadband operations. CFW considers a full acquisition to be detrimental to the competitive landscape in Greece's mobile market. We also believe the acquisition has mixed value to Vodafone given macroeconomic conditions in Greece.
