Visafone And IHS Nigeria Complete Tower sale And Lease-Back Deal

Visafone, a leading CDMA operator in Nigeria, agreed to sell and leaseback 459 telecoms towers to infrastructure company IHS Nigeria. The value of the deal has not been disclosed officially although local media reports, citing people familiar with the deal, suggest it is in the region of US$67mn. CFW welcomes this development as it strengthens our view of strong growth of infrastructure sharing services in Africa.
