Telkom Agrees To Sell Multi-Links To Helios Towers, But Many Questions Remain Unanswered

The board of South Africa's fixed-line incumbent operator Telkom SA in an email on June 28 2011 said it has agreed to sell its Nigerian unit Multi-Links to Helios Towers Nigeria (HTN) for US$10mn. The deal adds a new twist to Telkom's desperate attempt to exit the Nigerian CDMA market, and BMI believes its raises more questions about the future of Multi-Links.
