Local Firms Head Race For Indosat's Tower Assets
June 2011 | Company News AlertIndonesia's Indosat has launched a sale of 4,000 telecoms towers to raise more than US$500mn, according to Reuters citing sources with knowledge of the plan. Three domestic tower infrastructure companies were reported to be the front runners, and it would be a major coup if they are able to raise enough funds to make the acquisition. BMI believes that the sale would allow Indosat to boost its competitiveness in its core mobile business.
