Zimmer, Biomet Join Bidding List For Astra Tech

News: Zimmer Holdings and Biomet have joined the list of companies bidding for Astra Tech, a Swedish unit of UK-based pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca, according to Bloomberg sources. The list also includes Nobel Biocare Holding, Straumann Holding, Dentsply International, Cinven and Nordic Capital. Astra Tech may be sold as one unit or in several parts, but may receive a deal worth US$1.8-2.1bn.
